Mining Machinery Pulsation Box: Stepless Stroke Control for High-Gradient Magnetic Separators

2026-10-19
Latest company news about Mining Machinery Pulsation Box: Stepless Stroke Control for High-Gradient Magnetic Separators

In weakly magnetic ore beneficiation, the gap between a clean concentrate and a lost recovery is usually decided by a single component — the pulsation drive. The Mining Machinery Pulsation Box is that component: a crank-slider pulsation drive gearbox engineered specifically for Vertical Ring Pulsation High-Gradient Magnetic Separators (VPHGMS).

What the Box Actually Does

Conventional reducers only slow a motor down. This unit transforms rotary motor motion into linear reciprocating motion at a controlled frequency and stroke, driving the separator canister to create pulsating fluidisation in the slurry. That pulsation breaks up mechanical entrainment and lets weakly magnetic particles report to the matrix instead of the tailings.

Characteristics That Decide Field Performance

  • Stepless stroke and frequency adjustment. Stroke runs 0–50 mm and pulsation frequency 0–500 cycles/min, so one box family covers coarse and fine feeds, light and heavy slurries, without changing hardware.
  • Impact and overload resistance. Slurry resistance arrives in powerful periodic surges. Housing, bearings and transmission parts are sized with high strength and rigidity to absorb alternating loads rather than pass them to the frame.
  • Fully sealed against slurry and water. High-performance seals keep abrasive water out of the crank chamber — the single most common cause of premature failure in separator drives.
  • Forced circulation lubrication. Oil is pumped, cooled and filtered, holding film strength through continuous three-shift operation.
  • Smooth, low-noise running. Precision machining and dynamic balancing keep vibration low even at maximum pulsation speed.
  • Modular maintenance. Accessible service points and optional centralised lubrication cut unplanned downtime.

Technical Snapshot

Parameter Specification
Product type Crank-slider pulsation drive gearbox
Core function Rotary motion to linear reciprocating motion
Stroke 0–50 mm, stepless or stepped
Pulsation frequency 0–500 cycles/min
Input power Typically 5.5–45 kW
Max output force Tens to hundreds of kN, model dependent
Lubrication Forced circulation with cooling and filtration

Where It Earns Its Keep

Hematite, limonite, siderite, manganese and ilmenite separation; purification of kaolin, feldspar and quartz by removing iron and titanium; magnetic suspended solids removal in industrial wastewater. In every case the duty is the same — controllable, repeatable pulsation that raises capture rate and concentrate grade together.

Built in Zibo, Shandong and supplied from one unit upward, the box ships in standard export wooden cases with 30–60 working day lead times, so replacement and pilot trials stay predictable.
