The ZL, ZLH, and ZLSH series are vertical mount helical gear reducers. They are variants designed for applications requiring a vertical output shaft, based on the horizontal reducers (like ZSY, ZDZ). The core gear drive components (gear material, processing technology) are identical to their horizontal counterparts.
ZL: Stands for Vertical mount, Medium-hardened helical gear reducer (counterpart to ZDZ).
ZLH: Stands for Vertical mount, Hardened helical gear reducer (counterpart to ZSY). "H" stands for Hardened.
ZLSH: Stands for Vertical mount, Three-stage Hardened helical gear reducer. "S" stands for Three-stage.
The housing of this series is designed for vertical orientation, typically with a base flange for mounting onto a foundation or equipment, with the output shaft pointing vertically downward (or upward).
Designed for Vertical Drives: Perfectly solves the layout challenges of equipment requiring vertical power transmission. Compact structure saves space.
Inherits Core Gear Advantages:
ZLH/ZLSH Series: Inherit all advantages of hardened and ground gears: high load capacity, high efficiency, long service life, low noise.
ZL Series: Inherit advantages of medium-hardened gears: high cost-effectiveness, good load capacity.
High Sealing Requirements: The vertical structure demands superior sealing design for input and output shafts. High-performance seals are usually employed to effectively prevent lubricant leakage.
Easy Installation: Mounting via flange and locating spigot ensures easy alignment and a solid connection.
Multiple Configurations: Often available with different mounting orientations (e.g., output shaft up or down), different shaft ends (solid shaft, hollow shaft, with shrink disk, etc.).
Center Distance (a): Same as the corresponding horizontal series. E.g., ZLH range matches ZSY (160mm - 800mm), ZL matches ZDZ.
Ratio (i): Same as the corresponding horizontal series. Single-stage (ZLH) approx. 1.25-6.3, Three-stage (ZLSH) approx. 16-100 (consult manufacturer's catalog).
Power (P): Same range as the corresponding horizontal series, covering from kW to thousands of kW.
Output Torque (T): Same range as the corresponding horizontal series, from kNm to hundreds of kNm.
Mounting Configuration: Vertical flange mount. Output shaft direction is typically vertically downward (default) or upward.
This series is the core component of any equipment requiring vertical power transmission, most commonly found in:
Mixing Equipment: Various agitators and reactors in chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries (This is the most classic application).
Lifting Equipment: Bucket elevators.
Building Material Machinery: Vertical mills, mixing plants.
Environmental Protection Equipment: Thickeners, scrapers (for sedimentation tanks in wastewater treatment).
Metallurgy & Mining: Vertical pumps, mixers.
